Description
This gorgeous little sterling silver moon-gazing hare pendant is a limited edition production of one of my unique designs.
The symbol of the moon-gazing hare dates back to ancient times and is almost universal throughout cultures ranging from ancient China, to ancient Egypt. Pagans believed that seeing a moon-gazing hare would bring growth, re-birth, abundance, new beginnings and good fortune. The hare signifies the fertility of Spring and new life as the sun returns to the earth.
This silver moon-gazing hare was cast from one of my original silver hand carvings – you can see the progress of it from design to completion detailed in my blog. It bears a full hallmark from The London Assay Office, and is also stamped with my unique maker’s mark. It is highly polished and measures 25mm tall and is 16mm across at its widest point, and is hung on a delicate sterling silver chain from a discreet bail attached to the reverse.
