Description
This silver rose necklace is a one of a kind (OOAK) design, entirely handmade using traditional silver smithing methods.
Each tiny silver rose on the necklace started out life as a wax carving, which I then cast in solid sterling silver using the lost wax method of casting. Although they are small, each silver rose is beautifully detailed, and has been soldered onto solid silver wire along with some leaves handcut from silver sheet. The whole process to make this gorgeous and unusual necklace is time consuming but gives amazing results.
Finally, the front section of the necklace has been attached to some pretty sterling silver chain to give a truly unique and eye catching piece of jewellery.
The inspiration for the design of this necklace came from the Game of Thrones character Margaery Tyrell, and incorporates the rose – the sigil of House Tyrell. This necklace would be perfect for a Game of Thrones themed wedding or party, or would be equally stunning worn on a special night out.
