Description

In Celtic legend Blodeuwedd is a beautiful woman created by wizards out of flowers.  She is eventually turned into a tawny owl as punishment for plotting the murder of her husband, but I’m sure she must have been a stunning owl!

My Blodeuwedd pendant is made from sterling silver, and is set with a gorgeous golden rutilated quartz, and an equally beautiful owl face cabochon made from porcelain.  She is styled in the form of a goddess, with 2 layers of silver forming her wings, which are heavily detailed with hand engraving for the feathers.

The decorative bezels holding the face and stone in place are both made from fine silver (99.9% pure), and she is finished off with handmade chain.  I made the chain from 2mm diameter silver wire, which I cut into links, then forged the shape by hammering each link. Each separate link has been drilled through, then connected by silver jump rings which have all been painstakingly soldered shut.

Blodeuwedd measures 58x45mm and the chain length is 24 inches (60cm)

This pendant will come in a luxurious Lucylou jewellery presentation box, and will be posted by Royal Mail Special Delivery so that she is fully insured in transit.
